Five area men indicted on varied charges in Wichita
Five men were indicted Tuesday in federal court in Wichita on firearm and drug offenses related to crimes in southwest Kansas. Octavio Monge, 32, formerly of Finney County, faces counts of possessing a firearm to further a drug trafficking crime, possession with intent to distribute more than five grams of methamphetamine, possessing a firearm while unlawfully using a controlled substance, and two counts of possession of methamphetamine. The alleged offenses occurred in 2004 and 2005 in Finney County. Monge was arrested Oct. 26, 2004, after deputies responded to a trespass in progress at 510 1/2 Telegram Ave.

Judge Brinkema Rules Moussaoui Life Term dies with a whimper
