District boards replace bricks eyes moisture issues at district building
The board opted to replace bricks on east and southwest walls after rejecting a $111000 tuckpointing bid as ineffective for moisture. A structural report blamed vermiculite insulation behind brick for moisture absorption. The panel also approved a district food service merger with Holcomb USD 363, a high school Texas Hold em fundraiser, resignations, and a retirement, with plans for summer tuck pointing on remaining walls.
