Sheriff loses bid to move bribery trial in Reno County
Former Sheriff Larry Leslie and co defendants failed to shift their bribery trial out of Reno County. A judge consolidated their cases while upholding the venue decision. Hertach and MgtGp Inc. face 21 counts each for alleged payments totaling about 285000 dollars for Leslie’s jail annex contract endorsement. The ruling faulted a telephone poll that suggested respondents believed they were probably guilty.
