History of Old Bill and a buried traveler on display
Armentrout recounts the tale of Old Bill, Pedro the Italian, who fled New York then slashed his throat on a 1911 train in Pierceville. He was embalmed in Garden City, left unclaimed, and later moved, displayed at a Dodge City funeral, then the fire destroyed the home and erased the box. Armentrout uses the story to educate nouveaux.

Clutter murders files opened for public viewing at sheriff’s office
The Coroner’s report lists the Holcomb home deaths of Herb Bonnie Kenyon and Nancy Clutter between 11 p.m. Saturday and 2 a.m. Sunday November 15 1959 from a shotgun blast. Finney County officials say the Clutter files are bound in six books for public inspection as requests pour in from across the country and school groups alike.

FBI joins hunt for 12 year old kidnapped in Hathaway
Dozens of FBI agents joined the search for Holli Thibodeaux a 12 year old girl abducted from the Hathaway Village Trailer Park in southwest Louisiana. A blond white man is the suspect a light blue full sized pickup with silver toolbox and ladder in back is sought. An escaping girl was with Thibodeaux when she was seized.
