Fischer defense claims evidence manipulated link to shooting
In Salina, defense contends that the sole physical link tying Craig Fischer to the Sept. 15 Syracuse golf course shooting may have been altered by police. Deputy Richard Garza said a brown cigarette butt matched Fischer, with three white butts unconnected. Garza reported crime-scene photos taken Sept. 15, but camera time showed Sept. 16, prompting trial questions into date accuracy and record keeping.
