Garden City USD 457 to redraw attendance boundaries
The district plans to close twenty six classroom trailers by moving to new boundaries for kindergarten through eighth grade. New schools and reconfigured campuses, with 900 capacity for a middle school and projections for 750 to 800 students at Good Middle School, aim to keep students in neighborhood schools. The boundary committee, led by RSP & Associates, meets through May with a May 23 workshop to finalize recommendations, focusing on eliminating trailers and balancing school sizes under No Child Left Behind criteria.
