K Statetaps Nanotech Mastitis Detection For Dairy Cattle
Kansas State University researchers Deryl Troyer and Stefan Bossmann lead a nanoplatform project to detect subclinical mastitis in dairy cows earlier and cheaper. The test targets three key enzymes, yielding results under five minutes in lab trials and aiming for ro botics-enabled dairies. Funding from state agencies and a patent filed by the university foundation support commercialization.
