Kansas Basketball Heart Of March With Home Court Favor
Jayhawks coach Bill Self notes playing near home can bring distractions but also familiarity and past success in a building. He avoids pleading for a No 1 seed, citing mixed outcomes while Kansas sits as a top seed amid February slumps and March expectations. Western Kentucky, ranked 16th and coached by unknown, earned an automatic Sun Belt bid, with Self recalling a 2003 Illinois win over WKU and highlighting their potential to beat anyone.
