The Commerce and Labor Committee endorsed a bill to raise Kansas minimum wage to 7.25 by Jan 10 2010 and align with future federal increases. The panel sent the bill to the House for debate as the smoking ban bill skims along the sidelines. The smoking ban was tabled by the House panel awaiting more information, with ultimate passage unlikely before adjournment.
