New black-necked swans hatch at Garden City Zoo display
Spring brings three cygnets to the Marie Osterbuhr Aviary as visitors enjoy warm weather. The fluffiest newcomers, precocial and likely to ride on parents’ backs, stay close by while the nest receives privacy panels. The five-member family will remain in the aviary pond before possible move to the flamingo yard later this season. Visitors are urged to keep distance and not feed the birds as hours adapt with Daylight Saving Time.
