Senate preserves Kansas Arts Commission funding plan
Senate vote 24-13 blocks Gov Brownback from privatizing the Kansas Arts Commission saving about 575000 annually. Administration would still provide 200000 in state funds for the fiscal year starting July 1, with future funding uncertain amid likely veto. The constitutional order could still be challenged and action continues on A5.
