Garden City teases plan progress with new implementation panel
Garden City commissioners move forward with an implementation committee to oversee the 2020 comprehensive plan. The 14-member panel will include a Planning Commission member and five citizens for each of the five goals, plus other city advisory reps. The plan focuses on downtown revitalization, quality of life, economic development, parks and recreation, and gateway beautification while encouraging pedestrian links and mixed-use development. Kaleb Kentner says the committee will advise both the Planning Commission and City Commission on facility use and project progress toward plan goals. See City, Page A5
