Habitat: Family to receive new home in sweat equity program
Habitat for Humanity will provide a family with a new house through sweat equity hours. Reyes logged 161 hours on a prior project and helped demolish the Wallace Street property while relatives and friends contribute volunteer time toward the required hours. Families make interest free payments including taxes and insurance for the life of the loan. Habitat has built five houses in Garden City since the mid 1990s, housing 30 people. To volunteer contact Clodfelter at 275-1040.
