Garden City mobile home tenants face eviction over moved limits
In Garden City the mobile home park sold by Business Management Services Inc. will be empty as residents must leave by Friday due to county rules banning relocation of older trailers. Tenants, many with immobile homes, face losing their homes as Garden City Community College owns the site across from the college and rezoning blocks new mobile homes. Rent has not risen in 15 years, with back rents totaling about $12,000. Utilities are expected to be shut off Friday.
