Holcomb council weighs cheaper health plan change
Holcomb city officials consider replacing Blue Cross and Blue Shield with a Trustmark plan funded by Health Savings Plans to cut costs for nine employees. Estimated annual premiums drop from about 58,800 to 61,500 under current, or to 36,072 with deductibles, plus a 41,304 family option. Dental coverage adds about 2,400 annually. Proposals include deductibles of 1000 to 3000 for individuals and families, with employer and employee contributions to a Health Savings Plan. No final decision. AFLAC plan dropped.
