Finney County OKs brochures for proposed quarter-cent sales tax
Finney County commissioners reviewed an informational brochure by the Sales Tax Steering Committee to promote a proposed quarter-cent sales tax, to fund maintenance of county buildings and roads. The tax would lift the rate from 7.2 to 7.45 percent starting July 1 and sunset in 2015. The panel also rezoned Theoni School property to Suburban Estates for conversion to a single family home, contingent on Planning Commission findings.
