Farm declines may continue for Kansas in 1960s study
A Kellogg study based on ag census data suggests Kansas farm numbers could drop sharply in the next 10 to 12 years as consolidation proceeds. Eastern counties show older farmers than western ones. Finney averages 48.5 years, 11.5 percent 65 or older, Scott 46.8, Elk 54.2, statewide 51.3. Kansas had 92,440 operators in 1984, with about half expected to die or retire by 1980, leaving 17,800 farms for 47,000 entering youth.

Bonding fabrics through laminating and adhesives
Bonding creates a new fabric by layering materials with adhesive or heat and pressure, or by foam backing. Laminating suits draperies and heavy wear, reduces itchiness, and tames difficult fabrics but cannot fix all defects. Quality controls ensure fabrics pass tests and garment tags indicate colorfastness and shape retention. Fourteen languages in India and cars with over 15000 parts are noted as context.
