Garden City hosts district American Legion oratorical contest winner
Nathan Dowell of Liberal High School won the Southwest 8th District American Legion Oratorical Contest held Feb. 15 in Garden City and earned 300 for first place. He advances to face students from Kansas districts on March 14 in Manhattan. The 4-H Happy Hustlers met Feb. 8 at Community Church with 14 members naming heart healthy snacks and activities.
