Wal-Mart approved in Ulysses amid growth hopes
Grant County commissioners granted approval for a Wal-Mart Supercenter site along the east edge of Ulysses between Highway 160 and Hampton Avenue. Officials cite tax base growth and job creation, while local merchants warn the town's hometown feel could suffer if the project undercuts existing stores. Community members share mixed views on competition and downtown vitality.
