Busy months at Garden City Zoo amid accreditation push
The Zoo has a flurry of activity with Earth Day planning, spring tours, and distance learning programs. The Education Division trains volunteers, new exhibits open in the Finnup Center, staff vacancies are filled, and General Curator Delfi Messinger begins work as accreditation renewal proceeds. A 10 year master plan is developed with Wichita firm, and community plant donations are requested to complete a tropical rain forest exhibit for the aviary while bamboo cuttings are sought for red pandas.

Wichita Native Kathryn Price Crowned Mole After Hidden Life
Kathryn Price, a 1990 Wichita Southeast High School graduate now living in Chicago, won ABCs The Mole after lying about her identity for 28 days and deceiving fellow contestants and friends. The series staged exotic challenges in France and Spain as ten players competing for a cash pot. Price credited her wholesome Wichita roots and openness as aiding her concealment.
