Buffs wrestlers claim third straight state team crown
Tevin Briscoe and Michael Prieto, a senior and a junior, each won their third consecutive state titles to seal GCHS’s third straight team championship. Briscoe, 45-2 this season, edged Junction City’s Jake Bazan 9-2 to close his four-year, 142–14 career. Prieto pinned a strong 6-0 win over Manhatten’s Gary Joint, finishing 45-3 for the season and 130-7 across three years.

Six Buffs reached Saturday finals, a record surpassing 1991, as seniors Sanchez Campbell Briscoe and Finch starred.
