DeAnda asks to withdraw plea in murder case
Garden City man Joaquin DeAnda seeks to withdraw his 2011 guilty plea in the 2012 murder of Julia Quintana. The Kansas Supreme Court vacated his Hard 50 sentence and remanded for resentencing in Finney County. A Sept. 11 motion hearing before Judge Quint could decide whether to allow withdrawal or proceed to replea or jury resentencing.
