In Kansas City AP report hog prices for 195-230 lb ranges and sow markets show varied declines while feeder and slaughter classes are steady with prices noted across weight bands. Rome data show Vatican dividends of 5.629 million dollars in 1963 with 844,450 paid in taxes. U S Air Force pilot John Wilkin 45 of Lincoln Nebraska was injured when his crop dusting plane struck a telephone pole and crashed 214 miles north and 4 miles east of Lakin. He was admitted to Kearny County Hospital with a broken leg and facial lacerations. The Deines Aero spray plane, hired temporarily, demolished after the crash during flood conditions.
William Staley 6th of Wichita died this morning from an apparent heart attack while en route to St Catherine Hospital. He lived with his brother-in-law Chester Payne in E Kansas and had summer work in Garden City for seven years. Survived by Elise of Wichita, Frank of Eureka, and a sister. Funeral in Wichita.
