Kansas Story May Show Profit in Centennial Run
Topeka AP reports the Kansas Story may turn a profit despite rain cancellations. The show ran through Sunday in Topeka and moves to Wichita for a 12 day run. About 85,000 attended the World Food Fair. 42,000 saw Kansas Story by Tuesday. Loss of two openings cost an estimated 54,000 in revenue and may cut ticket sales to 83 percent of capacity. Overall 63 percent sales across Topeka and Wichita are needed to cover expenses. If the current 85 percent capacity holds, profits look likely.
