Old-time harvest draw crowds with antique combines
Ken Weidner describes plans to harvest 10 to 15 more acres of wheat using vintage pull and self propelled combines on the Weidner farm. About 75 to 100 people watched as John Deere models 36 and 55 and Baldwin pulls operated, while children enjoyed lemonade and displays of 1940s to 1950s cars. Today’s event showcased neighbors sharing stories of farming’s past and the machines that once powered daily work. Contact Paul Weidner at 620-668-5261 for details and directions to the farm north of Sublette.
