Merle Pounds, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ted R. Pounds of Concordia, formerly Garden City, received his Doctor of Medicine degree June 7 from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He was class president and led a Student American Medical Association chapter. he also served on a national committee. He will intern in Dallas with his wife and son. Rescue teams continued a round the clock search for two divers missing in the unplumbed depths of Devil's Hole.
