Brantley drives go-ahead in Indians rally past Royals 4-3
Cleveland scoring three in the eighth off Kelvin Herrera turned a 3-1 deficit into a 4-3 win. Michael Bourn and Jason Kipnis delivered RBI hits before Michael Brantley’s sacrifice fly brought in Mike Aviles for the decisive run. Cody Allen earned the win, Vinnie Pestano the save. Royals bullpen lapse and baserunning miscue in ninth defining moments. Santana pitched six-plus strong for Cleveland, shutting down most of the Indians’ offense until the late rally.
