Paul Beckstrand leads a campaign in Leavenworth to fly a flag on every home, apartment, and business by Independence Day to honor the 150th anniversary. He passes out fliers, persuades retailers to help, and has placed 150 flags along a Missouri River overlook for Flag Day. He notes thousands already display flags, aims for tribal and international flags by July 4, and plans to boost local patriotism without pressuring residents.
