The Women’s Society of Christian Service held a Thursday afternoon meeting at First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall with about 50 members. The program, compiled by Mrs. Vern Towns, Mrs. A. E. Rudd, and Mrs. Frank Feldman, used material from The New Prophets. Joy Mercer with Lois DePew sang from Billy Graham’s film Somebody Bigger than You and I. The group urged outreach beyond the church, suggesting needs in resorts, camper stops, and airport lobbies. Mrs. Towns and others performed a dialogue on outreach.
