Banda to turn herself in for arrest in Kansas case
Shona Banda, a Garden City resident and medicinal marijuana advocate, will surrender Monday afternoon at Finney County Jail. Charged June 5 with endangering a child, drug distribution near a school, manufacturing drugs, and paraphernalia offenses, bond set at 50,000. Potential sentences range from 11 to 30 years depending on charges and guidelines. The surrender follows a school incident cited by authorities and a child-in-need case connected to Banda and her son.
