Convicted killer thanks jurors after life sentence
William H. Eggers 54 of St. Louis thanks jurors for what they felt in their hearts was the right verdict after a judge sentenced him to life in prison for capital murder. The 14-year-old victim Richard Davis was shot in the back at a Richmond Heights service station where Eggers worked. The judge followed the jury’s recommendation of life without probation or parole for 50 years.

Finney County Urges Time for Passport Applications

Spokesmen said passport applications reach a peak from February to August. Applicants should apply early and specify their expected dates of departure. Special provisions are available for persons requiring immediate departures because of illnesses or deaths of family members. Interested persons should obtain applications from the District Court office on the second floor of the Finney County Courthouse. Completed applications should be returned with two pictures and either a birth certificate or previous passport.
