Rebirth of Metal into Modern Furnishings Across Global Designers
Designers across Alameda Naval Station and beyond transform recycled metals into statement furniture. Florian Roeper blends cast iron and patina with sea-side inspiration in California. Rafael Avramovich in Brooklyn crafts geometric mirrors and cage lights from blackened iron and bronze. Jonathan Krawczuk in London explores atoms in metal bowls and Tarantula lights. David Derksen in Rotterdam and David Shefa in Israel push copper and galvanized pipes into delicate cabinets and industrial lamps. These artisans fuse rugged material history with contemporary form for lasting pieces.
