John Joseph Stan 82 of Hugoton died Sunday June 6 2010 at Pioneer Manor Nursing Home in Hugoton. Born January 17 1928 in Omaha Nebraska he was a railroad conductor and a U S Army veteran. He married Betty Sturhahn January 23 1946 in Denver. Survivors include wife Betty three sons Joe Julesburg Tim Hugoton Dan Sterling eight grandchildren three great grandchildren. Memorial service 2 p m Thursday at Paul s Funeral Home Chapel Hugoton with attendance at 10 a m to 8 p m Wednesday signing the register. Instrument will be at a later date.

Multiple arrests and citations across Friday to Sunday fielding disorderly conduct driving under the influence no proof of insurance curfew curfew violations and other offenses. Notable names include Zachael Irwin Victor Vilaquez Eduardo Olivas and Laura Rios with offenses ranging from theft to intoxicated pedestrian and fraudulent documents. Property theft vandalism and vehicle damage incidents were also recorded across several streets and businesses.
