Sonics explore Seattle investors as arena doubts linger
Sonics owner Clay Bennett has met two private investors who could back a Seattle arena, but talks stayed preliminary. He remains pessimistic the Sonics and Storm will stay beyond next season without a new facility, and public financing has been largely ruled out. Bennett could relocate by 2010 if no arena deal is struck, while stressing openness to proposals and ongoing lease scrutiny with Seattle.
