US District Judge Julie Robinson denied a request to delay the second trial of former Westar executives David Wittig and Douglas Lake. The start remains next Tuesday unless the 10th Circuit overrules and grants a stay as the men appeal their claim to unlimited legal fees. They face 40 counts alleging they took millions from Westar and have pleaded innocent after a mistrial in December.
