Transfer denial ends Leoti District transfer bid
The State Board of Education denied a Leoti Leoti district transfer petition from Winona Unified for 49 land sections into USD 467 in Logan County. Only five involved families and two students remain in Wichita County schools. no state aid or transportation funds flow to Leoti. The case, part of ongoing transfer disputes in the area, was heard March 19 in Oakley, with the board’s Topela meeting denying the request.
