A computer glitch delayed today’s Telegram causing a different layout and moving Sports to pages A6 and A7. Editors promise a normal Thursday edition and note that features missing today, including Ann Landers and Dr Donahue, will appear tomorrow.

The Friday mobile home blaze claimed four lives including Gladys Magana 22 and her two sons Saul David 5 and Jesus 2 plus her 4 year old brother Ricardo Barragan. An autopsy ruled death by smoke inhalation. The community packed St Marys Church for a shared funeral.
The Beef Empire Days rodeo opened Tuesday with slack events for barrel racing and steer roping. Crowd notes fast horses and skilled riders as more contestants seek a spot in the two to three hour nightly performances, with overflow applications possible.

The Kansas Wheat Commission lists elevators accepting white wheat, with at least 34 facilities now offering storage. Production growth drives more capacity, says administrator David Frey, who touts the grain's potential for western Kansas.
