Garden City audit finds finances sound and stable
Auditor Charles Claar of Lewis Hooper and Dick LLC reported Garden City posted an unqualified 2013 audit with $171 million in assets and $66.65 million in total city fund revenues. The general fund cash balance rose by 1.3 million, with 2.5 months of available reserves described as comfortable, and sales tax comprising 71.7 percent of tax revenue.
