Joslyn Hernandez, 18, convicted in March of conspiracy to commit aggravated battery for her role in the December gang related beating of Adam Rosas at H and H Trailer Park, awaits a sentencing hearing continued to 1 p.m. June 12. Summer classes begin at GCCC and Cimarron jamboree
Garden City Community College starts its main summer session on Monday with more than 150 courses across fields like biology criminal justice and information tech. Enrollment runs weekdays 8 am to 8 pm and 8 am to 4 pm at the services center plus a toll free line for those taking seven credits or less. A Cimarron jamboree opens at 4 pm Saturday at the Over 50 Center featuring a covered-dish supper and musical entertainment.
