Wheat Acres Up Slightly In Finney County 1958
Finney county farmers will receive an allotment of 190,519 acres for the 1958 wheat crop, only 60 acres more than last year. County agent Oscar Norby notes the per farmer gain is modest, with Kansas total set at 10,638,208 acres, about one fifth of national wheat plantings. As the allotment exceeds 25,000 acres, Finney and Kansas are included in the commercial wheat area with marketing quotas and allotments.
