Beef Empire Days sports events listed for Beef Days 1981
Garden City hosts three athletic events for Beef Empire Days. A 10 kilometer road race begins at 7:30 a.m. Saturday with six age divisions and T-shirts for all finishers. entry before June 5 is $5, $7 day of race. A Sunday golf tournament at Buffalo Dunes with four-man scramble prizes pays out to the top ten teams. entries closed June 4. An open horseshoe tournament at Finnup Park starts Saturday at 10 a.m. with four classes and trophies for top finishers. registration $4 and 50 shoes to score before sending results and fee. Inclement weather date is June 13.
