Garden City man held judge hostage in hours long standoff
Jason Nichols, 33, allegedly entered 1801 Amir Circle home of 25th Judicial District Chief Judge Wendel Wurst at 6:50 AM, bound the judge, and kept him for nearly six hours before surrendering at 12:34 PM in the 1800 block of Amir Circle. Wurst unharmed. Nichols faces aggravated assault burglary kidnapping and criminal threat charges.
