Court closes Floyd murder trial with hung jury
Jurors told they remain deeply divided about the Floyds Chad and Shannon in the Golub disappearance case. Prosecutors cite custody disputes and blood evidence on the Floyds porch as motive and conspiracy. Defense argues evidence is circumstantial and timing gaps raise questions about guilt. Kansas Democrats Back Farm Bill Amendment on Grazing
Kansas Democrats support a five year farm bill amendment allowing grazing and crop production on land set for groundwater conservation. The plan preserves water resources while keeping agricultural jobs in Kansas towns. Support comes from major groups including the National Cattlemen's Beef Association and the National Corn Growers Association. The bill also bans subsidies to high income farmers and stops payments for multiple farm businesses.
