Most GCCC staff sign unilateral agreement for 2002 03
Nearly all Garden City Community College faculty signed the unilateral agreement for the 2002 03 school year by the Wednesday deadline. GCCC president Carol Ballantyne cited staff cooperation as key to moving negotiations forward. Only two faculty members had not signed, one on vacation and one who resigned last spring and relocated. Board Chair Bill Clifford called the acceptance a vote of confidence. Faculty member Mary Cervantes said the move allows focus on students and teaching. Speech instructor Lee Tiberghien echoed relief at negotiations ending and praised the negotiating teams. The unilateral agreement stems from campus negotiations.
