City and Wheatland settle LAC rates for local grid access
Garden City Commission approved a settlement with Wheatland Electric Cooperative clarifying Local Access Charge rates for Wheatland’s eastern and western divisions. The east division will pay 1.99 per kWh and the west 1.99 per kWh, replacing prior unified or higher rates after years of negotiations. The agreement aims to reflect distinct service territories in Barton and Finney counties and other areas the coop serves.
