Kansas House candidate Reynaldo Mesa has dropped out of the bid for re election in District 123 Garden City yet his name still appears on the August 7 primary ballot. GOP officials note statutory mechanisms may be needed after results though there is no way to withdraw before the primary even if Mesa dies leaving John Doll as the sole Republican contender.
