Fuller apologizes after spouse travel paid by Garden City
Garden City Commissioner Gary Fuller apologized after the city approved paying for his wife Maggie Fuller's plane ticket. The issue followed Fuller's decision not to attend a Washington trip after the city covered his own nonrefundable $315 ticket. At a June vote, the council approved paying for the spouse's ticket 3-1, with Fuller abstaining, amid public backlash. Some commissioners said they would reconsider their votes if asked again.
