Car wash to aid exchange students in Garden City
USA Inc. will run an intercultural programs car wash from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at Golden Plains Credit Union to raise funds for area and short term exchange students. Voter registration deadline for August primary approaches

Garden City opens wastewater plant after 13.6 million expansion
The Garden City wastewater treatment plant re modelling and expansion are complete and open to the public with an open house at 10 a.m. at 345 S Jennie Barker Road. Superintendent Mark Eisenbarth says the plant now treats effluent to a level usable for irrigation and landscaping while officials plan a dedication for the new flagpole and offices.
