Northland CARE MetroCARE expand access to uninsured care
The Kansas City area program links uninsured patients from Clay, Platte, and Jackson counties with volunteer doctors. About 140 doctors joined, 213 patient visits arranged since last summer, but capacity remains around 650 patients though up to 28,000 could be eligible. Liability protections under a new Missouri law eased doctor participation.
