Nudist camp sues Shawnee County over zoning rules
Lake Edun Foundation Inc led by Webb and Julie Garlinghouse of Topeka sues Shawnee County claiming the required conditional-use permits were unnecessary as the agricultural zoned land hosts a clothing optional facility. County officials say sales and admissions violate zoning without a special permit. The camp near Lake Edun has faced ongoing legal fights since 1998, including a judge urging enforcement of zoning rather than injunctions.
